My PowerBook

I have bought a 12-inch Apple Power Book from Ultimate PC & Mac Gallery. It is a second hand stuff with G4 867MHz, OS X, 256MB ram, 40G HD. The price is good when compare to the condition. I might install the air-port, upgrade the ram later.

I also bought this so that the PowerBook can share the files of my PC and go to the internet.

Busy weekend.

I am surprised that the shop didn't recommend you to get more RAM. Go back and get more RAM. Get the 512MB module. Life will be hard otherwise.

The ZyWALL may be a bit overkilled for most home use, but I think some over-engineering is good. This device however puts you in a dilemma. Since you don't have a WiFi AP, there isn't much point in getting the Airport card. Getting and putting an Airport card to good use means spending even more money to get that AP, which does most of what your ZyWALL does.

Meanwhile, you might want to check out the shop from where I got my http://mt.rollingegg.net/archives/2004/05/12/nec_warpstar_aterm_wl11e2.html gadget. They are selling some grey import NEC APs for cheap.
