Mold Control

Hong Kong rains heavily and continuously in these few weeks, and cause my TV cabinet have a serious mold problem. Last week, when I removed the cabinet away from the wall, the cabinet was full of mold and spread over at the back. So I throughly cleaned it up with water. Today, I discover some mold grows in the front part of my cabinet, and inside the drawer after some inspection; and within my guess, the back also has mold infection.

This site mention that: "One of the biggest problems with molds is that they can colonize a home very easily. Mold spores can become airborne. When they do, they float through the house forming new colonies wherever they land." So, get rid of those mold should be done quickly.

I searched the web for solution to kill the mold, but many told me that mold can't be killed or eliminated and they suggest to keep the enironmental humidity under 50%. At last, the above site advised me clean the infected area by diluted bleach solution (1:50 may be) to stop the mold from growing.

Back from my trip

Back from my US trip on Sunday night. Tired.

Go to work this morning. Really feel that Hong Kong is a breathless city, really, not kidding.

When I waiting for bus at Hunghom X-Harbour tunnel, I feel hot and wet, especially when a bus comes close and exhaust hot waste gas before me. I feel can't breath and a little bit faint.

I am so weak. Should I have another vacation?

Packing for my the trip

I'll leaving for US and Bahamas from 19 May to 12 June, totally 25 days for a wedding of my lady's family, and take this chance to have a long vacation before Cedric go start his school life.
So photographing is a must for this trip. But, what should I bring? Of course, a digital camera is a must, but a film camera would have better quality. Ah... a video camcorder is needed to shoot my jumping son. So my imaging packing list is:

1) Digtial Camera Konica Minolta A2, and the flash which I borrowed from my brother Wallace. Before, I decided to bring my EOS300D with 2 lenses and the flash, but consider the weight factor, I gave up this choice.

2) A water proof camera Canon Prima AS-1 for shooting at the Miami Beach and the wonderful Disney water world.

3) Medium format Mamiya 7 with 2 lenses and 10 rolls of 220 film.

4) Last, is the video camcorder.

Beside the above imaging equipment, I also bring my 15" PowerBook for saving the images and checking e-mail, web-browsing, etc, during the trip. A pair of walkie-talkie (FRS channel), mobile phone for communication. All the above is the least that I think of. Beside the equipment themself, I have to bring with their own chargers and batteries so that they can work for me. Totally, I have to bring 5 chargers and a bunch of batteries.

I'm already tired when I see the luggage.
